General Information
We are a unique Church that loves the Lord and ministers to our people in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. We are an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church located in El Paso, Texas. We preach and teach from the Old King James Bible and use hymn books to sing praises unto our Lord Jesus Christ. We have been in existence for over 30 yrs.
History of Victory Baptist Church
Victory Baptist Church was founded in 1985 by Pastor Rodger Botrell. The garage of the church parsonage was the first auditorium. When Pastor Botrell and the original members started to build the existing building, they had materials donated from various places in El Paso. After constructing the church building, and gathering approximately 20 members, Pastor Botrell felt the Lord calling him out of El Paso to start another church.
Dr. Stephen Zeinner, missionary to Mexico, had recently turned over his church in Juarez, Mexico to a national pastor. He began to pray for the needs of Victory Baptist Church, and how God would want him to help out. A few months later the Lord moved Dr. Zeinner and his family to El Paso to become the Pastor of Victory Baptist Church. After nearly two years of pastoring, he led church to grow to approximately 50 members, growing spiritually as well.
In May of 1998 Pastor Keith Cole became the third pastor of Victory Baptist Church for the next eighteen years. During this time, the church went on to add Sunday school classrooms, a fellowship hall 1999 and a full court gymnasium in 2001. Many people generously gave of their time and finances to complete these projects.
In November of 2016, after the resignation of Pastor Cole, the church called missionary and fellow-member, Stephen Dyck, as their next pastor. Pastor Stephen and his wife, Penny, are excited to see how the Lord will continue the work of the ministry as Victory Baptist Church continues to be a Beacon of Hope in our community.
